LemonAid Fund Adds Colombia to its Vision One Million FGAIn July/August of 2019 LemonAid Fund will work in Popayan, Colombia to train teachers who have previously been trained by in a new approach: the Forgiveness, Gratitude and Appreciation (FGA) Resiliency and Well-Being Approach. Much of the content of the FGA training has been translated into Spanish during LemonAid Fund's work in Nicaragua and was evaluated as culturally inclusive.
The psychosocial FGA work is at the basis of teachers being able to be better teachers and children able to be better learners. It helps remove the hurts/trauma/betrayals that weigh down the mind and body so a person is able to summon its spirit to its best self. When these troubles are removed a child has increased concentration, less violent outbursts, less stress, more stamina and less health issues that all add up to better school performance leading to the possibility of greater economic abilities as they become adults. The cost of the 12 day training of 25 trainers, over 100 trainees and 500 school going children is only $8,000. All the teachers, leaders and children will be volunteering their time to make this important work happen in Columbia. LemonAid Fund appreciates your support toward bringing FGA to a new country. |
